GB Weekly Website

In creating the website for The Golden Bay Weekly, we took special care to preserve the overall look and feel of the iconic Golden Bay local newspaper, while striving to make it visually appealing, unique and appropriate on screen.

Utilising a linear layout for the articles to emulate the printed version, we then intentionally added colour imagery in order to a point of difference from the black-and-white printed paper. We created a news article system that categorises current articles into appropriate sections and displays back-listings from previous papers. Our system routinely archives articles on a monthly basis to keep the site current and uncluttered. Images can easily be uploaded onto the site using basic software and our content-management system (CMS) automatically resizes them and creates thumbnails as needed.
