NZ Nature Calendar 2009
August always brings a small sense of relief with production of the New Zealand Nature Calendar complete. It's an eight-month-long project with a real emphasis on quality of imagery and layout.
The NZ Nature Calendar has become somewhat of an icon amongst nature calendars in New Zealand.
From the NZ Nature website
One of the most popular nature calendars in New Zealand, the diverse, inspirational beauty of our country is celebrated in superb colour and detail by some of New Zealand's leading nature photographers. It also includes an educational "Meet Our Wild Friends" featuring a selection of our special wildlife.
This year's cover is a rarely photographed aspect of a New Zealand scenic icon "Mitre Peak, Milford Sound, Fiordland National Park" by Andrew Fear and each month you can enjoy a different presentation of New Zealand's natural splendour in a full colour photograph along with:
- Informative text relating to the location.
- Plenty of room to write notes and appointments on the corresponding date page.
- New Zealand public holidays and special occasion days.
- Moon phases in New Zealand.
The calendar supports Ecologic Foundation's efforts to lead and nurture the emerging trend toward environmentally-friendly farming. More than 3,400 nature conservation covenant areas have now been set aside on New Zealand’s farmlands, and over 75% of dairy farms have provided protective fencing for their streams. There is a sense of growing commitment to sustainability, and harmony with nature, in New Zealand’s farmed landscapes.
Calendar measures 31cm x 21cm (12" x 8.5") when folded.
