Magazine design and layout for FishHead June/July 2011 issue
It's always a pleasure designing for FishHead Magazine, the quality of writing and photography is truly representative of Wellington's artistic persona, and this issue was no exception. In particular, the Fashion and the Hutt Photo Essay features would have to be the highlight of the design process. It was a great feeling giving the photography the attention it deserves by (you guessed it) giving it as much breathing space as possible.
The only 'not-so-highlight' of this issue was the proofing process. Unfortunately, due to uncontrollable circumstances, we had to go through multiple proofing iterations which was very time consuming and resulted in a 'dragged-out' finishing phase. However, at the end of the day, it's worth going that extra mile to ensure the magazine remains of the highest quality possible.
